The Vicar Of Dibley is a comedy series set in a traditional village in the English countryside. This changes when a female vicar is brought in, much to the annoyance of the leader of the parish council. I know that sounds really boring but it is actually very very funny when the vicar is played by Dawn French! Her crazy friend Alice is also very funny, who is played by Emma Chambers. She is completely mad and very stupid. She never gets the vicar's jokes and had bridesmaids dressed as teletubbies at her wedding! It was written by Richard Curtis. He also wrote Blackadder, 4 Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill (all of which I like).
The series is quite old, it was filmed about 10 years ago and at times it can be a little dated. I still really like it though. It is not normally on TV much as it is so old but at the moment they are showing it on Friday evenings on BBC1. They don't repeat it often, we should watch it while we can.
