8 Out Of 10 Cats is a good, if slightly mad and very rude quiz programme based on statistics played by a bunch of comedians. Countdown is, as many of you know, a boring and serious daytime show where geeky people prove their intelligence. But, for some strange reason, if you put them together they make a brilliant TV show.
All of the regular people from 8 Out Of 10 Cats participate: Jimmy Carr the presenter, team leaders Jon Richardson and Sean Lock and Joe Wilkinson (who usually just gets in the way!). These are joined by the usual Rachel Riley and Susie Dent, along with a selection of special guests. All the comedians in it is what makes it so good, as in between the small amounts of Maths and English there are all sorts of jokes.
You are still laughing while they do the questions as Jimmy tries to distract them with an assortment of things that include space hopper races, kittens and magic acts! Here is a clip showing what happened on one of the occasions!
It is one of my favourite comedy shows and is usually on Friday nights from 9 until 10 on channel 4.
